Great, simple breakfast for families. Pancakes were delicious and there are countless omelet ingredients including cheeses and vegetables. Delicious!

Crab Benedict was awesome!! My daughter loved the m&m pancakes and my husband didn't leave hungry. First friendly waitress in town.

Oh my gosh this place is disgusting. Just completely disgusting. Everything was undercooked and gross. It was thrown together, poorly thought out and just plain lazy. Great waitstaff but eating here will literally put you at risk for getting sick. Ugh.

This place is amazing. It's very affordable and has great breakfast. The staff is amazing and all around great place for breakfast it's never disappointed us . Highly recommend it .

GO EARLY! Delicious food but gigantic portions. It would be nice if they charged less (or even the same) and served portions of food a tourist could finish and not waste. I loved how the place mat was also the menu, so by the time the waitress got to us we were 100% ready to order. Seems silly but that's a big deal for people with young kids. My wife ordered an egg white feta cheese omelette that was monstrously huge, delicious but huge. My kids loved their food as well. Service was solid and friendly. We went early, just prior to 8:30 and the place was empty. It was packed with a line when we left.

any place with a sign saying "we challenge you to go home hungry!" is a win in my book! the special of the day, the Italian omelette, caught my eye - four eggs, peppers, sausage, mozzarella, onions, and marinara sauce. but wait, THERE'S MORE (I hope I am not the only one who misses Billy Mays) - this thing comes with THREE big fluffy pancakes! and all for ten bucks! was it the best breakfast I've had? no, but it was really good. I'd say much better than diner quality, if that helps. pancakes were light and fluffy, and the omelette had great mixture of ingredients and consistency. I hate when the contents of an omelette all spill to one side, that's sub-par omelette construction and I will not tolerate as a full red-blooded American. oh, and they have something on their menu called "Meat Cake Mountain", which is alternating layers of pancakes and breakfast meats. I am fairly sure that the Meat Cake Mountain is something that Phil H needs to take on in battle. I have faith in you, buddy. leaving the coffee pot on the table was a major plus. sadly, with three of us drinking from it, we required constant refills, but the waitress was fast with handling that. service was pretty fast and we were seated promptly. they are only open from the morning to early afternoon, and they close after Columbus Day, probably coinciding with the end of the tourist season for the Lake George area.

Greatest breakfast on the face of the earth. They "challenged me to go home hungry"...I accepted the challenge. They won. I stuffed my face with omelette and pancakes and corned beef hash and all manners of awesome. The pancakes with their maple syrup are a must-have, very fluffy but also very filling and flavorful. I've been coming to this place since I was a little kid, and it's been the exact same amount of deliciousness all these years. The interior is great, like a country store. The staff is extremely friendly and really seems to put their customers first, like they have a personal interest in you having a pleasant experience. They even have a little gift shop, where I of course had to buy a shirt. The Lone Bull is the epitome of the country breakfast. If that's what you're into (and I am) then you can't go wrong.

Honestly, just an awesome breakfast joint. I've been coming here since my first trip to Lake George in 1975 with my parents, now I take my kids and they LOVE IT! The staff are extremely friendly, I rolled up towing a camper and the staff helped me find a place to park, just wonderful. You may be thinking "breakfast is a hard meal to screw up" and you'd be correct, but breakfast can also be AWESOME and this place doest it. Pancakes are out of this world, Cinnamon French Toast on the home made bread to die for. Get there early, there will be a wait and it's totally worth it.

We visited Lake George over Columbus Day weekend and we had breakfast here our first morning. They have many options for breakfast and our portions were large. They brought a whole pitcher of coffee over which was nice, rather than asking for refills. This is not a fancy restaurant but good breakfast food that is certainly filling. Wish we had gone here for our second breakfast too!!

Food was delicious and the portions were large, the service was quick and the staff was friendly, the prices were very reasonable. I would go back.

Great place for breakfast - everything is delish! Beautiful interior and the staff is super friendly, especially Rachel.

Good breakfast food. They have the typical pancakes, eggs, French toast, the usual fare. I had the eggs Benedict, side of potatoes, and a cinnamon roll. It was all good tasting food. The waitress was nice and friendly, service was prompt. Good solid 3 star breakfast.

I had the blueberry pancakes which were the best I've ever had. My son had egg and toast , which didn't come with home fries. have never seen this at a diner before.

Had a wonderful brunch here this morning with a party of 9. The host and waitress were very nice and accommodating. Pancakes and waffles are delicious and there fresh sausage links too!

  • Haris H.

The sign said you won't leave hungry and we indeed didn't! A bit far off main lake George but worth the drive. Our waiter (Dakota) was friendly and helpful and service was generally excellent. Portions were generous and decently priced. The food was quite decent but not incredible. The decor was quite nice, in a Country sort of way. I'll be back!

For breakfast, you can't get any better!! The cinnamon raisin french toast on homemade bread is A-MA-ZING! Everything is a great deal and away from the Lake George craziness downtown. Delish!! You can't go wrong. And, the service is amazing and FAST!

A decent breakfast place with very good pancakes. Just don't go if you require mobile phone reception.

I have been going up to Lake George for about 20 years now and i can not even imagine going up without at least 1 trip to the Lone Bull for breakfast. (by the way they only serve breakfast and only till around noon). The pancakes here are some of the best i ever had and they will even sell you the mix. the portions are huge and the service is excellent. don't be afraid of the wait (crowds line up outside) the wait usually goes quick. if you are in lake George in the morning do yourself a favor and stop in it is well worth it.

    (5)
  • Stephenie C.

Yummy! If you're in Lake George you must make sure you spend at least one morning here!! Eggs and the rest of the breakfast food was great, but don't expect too much from the steak breakfasts. They run a little small and thin. And, if you like it medium well ask for medium.

Another no brainer for late breakfast or brunch. Beautiful environment, super nice crew, just go there.

    (5)
  • Vu T.

Off the beaten path but definitely worth the trip. Portions are big and most breakfast plates are between $5 and $10. We had eggs and pancakes and steak and everyone was satisfied with their meals. This place definitely keeps it moving with a steady line going in and out. Definitely a must visit when checking out Lake George.

We really enjoyed breakfast here twice last week. There were no complaints from anyone in our party of six.

Fast friendly service! Great food! Large portions! Best breakfast I've had! Cant wait to go back the next day!

I love the Lone Bull! There are no pancakes like them anywhere else. The Lone Bull has a very rustic feel to it and draws quite the breakfast crowd. There is usually always a wait but it goes fast, the service is very quick in here, I guess they know they have alot of hungry customers waiting. I got the short stack of banana pancakes, they were delicious! Filled with bananas and so fluffy, perfect with their syrup. Their home fries are like no other. They are small chopped potatoes browned and crispy and all greasy and bad for you but delicous. Seasoned perfectly with onions and other flavors, I have never had home fries that good before! There is also something about toast that you get from restaurants, it is nothing like the toast you make at home- it is toasted to perfection and buttered just right! I don't know if it is just me but I love that kind of toast! They also have this peg jumping game on each table which keeps everyone occupied until the food comes, which isn't that long anyways! I would recommend the Lone Bull to anyone visiting Lake George. It is about a 10 minute drive outside the main town but it is so worth it!

  • Rose L.

they have a standard breakfast menu w/quite a selection of big proportions. tried the cape code omelete which had real crab meat (shocking!) and asparagus (a little overcooked) in a fluffy egg pancake. toast was tasty. also tried their pancakes which were light and fluffy. def a heaping portion for breakfast but ppl, there's no need to eat everything off your plate!

  • Meredith K.

Another interesting place in Lake George... wood walls etc - looks like you've stepped back in time 30 years. Good place for breakfast - the usual breakfast stuff... kid friendly...decent service.. young local kids working behind the counter talking about some friend that lost his license driving drunk, and how hammered they were last night drunk dialing each other... What was odd - lots of open tables, yet waited like 10 minutes to be seated. no real maple syrup!! how can you call yourself the "pancake house" and not have real maple syrup? I get it's expensive and lots of places charge $1 extra or whatever to get it - I will gladly pay to avoid having nasty high fructose corn syrup fake crap. So I have no idea how their pancakes taste - I refuse to eat them unless I can have real maple syrup.

The sign out front is correct...you will not go away from this place hungry. Went here for breakfast the day I was leaving lake George. Got there around 7am or so the restaurant was open but empty which isn't a bad thing. Obviously we didn't have to wait for a table. Our waitress was great all though I can't remember her name. She was quick and very friendly. The coffee at lone bull is excellent and you get a bottomless cup. I had a "custom made" omelette with egg whites, mushrooms, onions and spinach with cheddar cheese melted on top. It was HUGE! And delicious. My oldest daughter got the french toast and the slices of bread were as big as her head. My son got a stack of Frisbee sized pancakes and the stack had bacon, sausage and ham hidden between pancakes. It was like a delicious meaty Easter egg hunt. My youngest daughter got bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on one of the biggest English muffins I've ever seen. Excellent and filling meal. Would definately go back.

  • Bud S.

We ate breakfast there. They say, they dare to leave hungry. That's true, you wont have to eat lunch. Portions are good. However, eggs and pancakes shouldn't be even close to that expensive. Maybe charge less and give you less. All in all ok, but breakfast should just be cheaper, that's all. Service was good, as well.

Lone Bull is one of our favorite places for breakfast on Lake George, especially since we stay at depe dene resort right next door! Great service, fun gifts in front that help convince kids to behave for a little trinket toy at the end of a huge breakfast. we usually get omelets or pancakes, enjoyed every meal for the past 4 years. PS Wear elastic waist pants, you're going to need 'em :)

    (5)
  • Kristina S.

Perfect breakfast spot. The food is good, the service is great and the prices are reasonable. I had corned beef, two eggs and three buttermilk pancakes. Everything was great. Everyone else I was with enjoyed their food too. Lone Bull has this thing where they dare you to leave hungry or something. Anyway, the waitress said if we weren't full they'd give us more pancakes on the house. I was very full so I declined but 3 guys I was with accepted the pancakes. I thought that was a pretty awesome thing Lone Bull has. This establishment is very hospitable. I would absolutely come back here.

  • Ashley E.

The breakfast is good but it's pretty pricey. I wanted a veggie omelet and you have to pay .75 per vegetable and if you want cheese. Omelets don't come with home fries so you have to get a side order. Overall the food is average for what you pay.

    (2)
  • Lorraine A.

Very good breakfast!!! If you go on the weekend expect to wait at least 30-45 minutes!! worth the wait though! Can't wait to go back next year!!

We visited on our camping excursion to lake George. I saw all the reviews which made this a solid establishment and we Ventured away from downtown to go here it's not far at all. Wait was about 20 min and the service inside was fast and spot on. Food was excellent. It was breakfast and I know it's hard to mess up breakfast but I got eggs Benedict and from what my family got the ingredients were fabulous and the flavor was there. I recommend this if you are in lake George area. I will visit again. And they get5 stars from me because their coffee was THE best I have had in months. I tried to find out what coffee it was but couldn't. And they use real cream Not the non refrigerated one. If for anything go get a cup of joe and you will see what I mean!! ENJOY!

price is amazing! unlimited coffee retro dine in board games while u wait worth the wait!!!! Thank you!!

  • Mauricio P.

Located right on Lake Shore Drive, Lone Bull offers a short but sweet menu that includes everything you would expect from a breakfast place at an affordable price. The old but classic rustic atmosphere gives each savory meal a homemade touch that is served by a warm and welcoming staff. Other than the ten to fifteen minute wait during busy hours, Lone Bull is a great place to start your day.

  • Karla A.

Back again and ordered the French Connection It was delish! eggs, thick french Raisin toast, and fresh juicy sausage. no complaints here! They leave the coffee carafe on the table so you never have to wait for a refill. Service is excellent too.

  • Tech P.

Great food, our first time here. This place is hoping! Be aware, a full stack and short stack are plate size pancakes. The only difference is full = 3 pancakes, while short = 2. Very fresh food and excellent service. We are definitely coming back. Just make sure you come early to get a seat especially for large parties.

    (4)
  • Angelo P.

We were seated quickly but the waitress took 8 minutes to get to us. She is a loud and slightly over friendly type but I don't mind that as I know some people do. The coffee was very good! The best coffee in Lake George so far. Unfortunately there's not much good coffee in Lake George. The eggs would have been great if not for the missed egg shell. The pancakes good but just a little over mixed making them slightly gummy. The sausage and bacon were excellent, I had the links. I plan to try them again, next time I will tell them to hold the shell!

I'm not sure why this is the highest rated breakfast spot in town. We tried to eat here at around 10am on a Monday and couldn't even get into the parking lot. The narrow, windy street leading up to the restaurant was already packed with cars. We decided to try another time. The parking lot was about half full on a Tuesday at 8:30. We went inside to find a nearly empty restaurant. We walked up to the register like the sign said to give our name and the number in our party but the hostess had just left to seat someone else. 4 or 5 young women who work there stood around chatting until finally someone offered to help us. By the time we left, the restaurant was about half full but there were only a handful of spaces left in the parking lot. Go early, or plan to park elsewhere. A half-hour wait is acceptable on a busy day but meaningless if you can't find parking. This place is huge, with plenty of seating. Our waitress was great - friendly and attentive. We ordered coffee, eggs, hash browns, sausages and the cinnamon raisin French toast. The coffee was very burned. We got a whole pot at our table for $2.69 each, but who wants to drink that anyway? The French toast had a cream-cheese-frosting drizzle that was not in its menu description (I would have ordered it on the side) that didn't fit the dish for me. The toast itself was undercooked and mushy in the center. It had plenty of raisins but no discernible cinnamon flavor. The hash browns were delicious, the scrambled eggs were tasty, and the sausage so-so. Portions were generous. There is a sign on every table describing a $1 upcharge on items 1-15 (almost the entire menu) due to avian flu and the increase in egg prices. I don't think this applied to the omelettes - perhaps they are made with egg beaters. You can buy your own "real" maple syrup (as opposed to maple-flavored corn syrup) for $3+ for a tiny (1 oz?) bottle, but it's the very sweet, Grade A, light amber syrup, not the richer Grade B syrup with a strong maple flavor.

Amazing food and great prices. We also received excellent customer service too. Normally I'm not quick to believe all the hype when it comes to restaurants and places but this place is legit. I can see why they won best breakfast spot two years in a row. If I visit Lake George again I'm definitely coming here! :-)

    (5)
  • Mark L.

Amazing place for Breakfast food. My only concern is that the place gets packed fairly quickly, so to avoid the whole debacle, I would try to get there early so that you dont have to wait for a seat. Other than that this place is great. I had a short-stack of chocolate chip pancakes and they were perfect!! Definitely coming back to this place.

    (5)
  • Jamie H.

Really busy on a Sunday but the wait was only 5-10 minutes. Food was good the usual you would expect from a breakfast place. When you order coffee they bring you the whole pot, that's a little excessive if it's just for two people but if your a whole group it makes sense. I would recommend this place if your looking for a good amount of food for a decent price. It cost us 30 bucks for the two of use, that was with coffee and two make your own omelet entree.

  • Jessica S.

Some friends and I stopped by this place during a camping trip (there was a general craving for 'real' coffee). During the weekend there always seems to be a wait, but we figured it must be good if so many people were willing to wait. We waited about 25 minutes to be seated, and when we were seated, we were promptly greeted by our waitress Shannen. Orders around the table ranged from steak and eggs to a Belgian waffle with ice cream. The pancakes they serve are big and very filling you can get one mixed in ingredient, like chocolate chips, and another on top of your pancakes, like banana slices. The steak was perfectly cooked and probably was the best breakfast steak I've had! This is the type of place that WAITS for you to cut into your steak. The eggs were okay, and the home fries were well seasoned. Other dishes were more forgettable, like the Belgian waffle which tasted identical to all other diner joints. All in all it's a great place to stop and grab some breakfast--especially on a camping trip!

    (4)
  • D M.

This place is terrible! It's a breakfast factory that's more interested in getting you in and out than service or good food. Four of us had to wait about ten min because the place was packed. When we did sit down the waitress was rude and couldn't care less about what we wanted. The food was basic eggs and pancakes with nothing interesting on the menu. There are too many restaurants in Lake George to waist your time and money here.

  • Christi G.

Best breakfast in the Lake George area! I'm very very particular, and a lot of the restaurants up here are sub-par mainstream American. This place totally changed my attitude towards upstate NY fare. Awesome.

  • Josh F.

Casual go to breakfast spot. Reco the pigs in a blanket, blueberry pancakes with their homemade blueberry syrup. Great food, service and prices.

    (5)
  • Jennifer M.

I don't get the hype. Breakfast food was decent, decor is dated and "rustic". Looks like they haven't seen a renovation in a good 30 or so years. This concerns me because it gives you the impression that it's dirty. I understand that the whole Lake George theme is supposed to represent the whole outdoorsy, woods, forest in the middle of nowhere thing, but I just don't see the appeal. Food was good enough, but their usage of a strange green plant garnish on the dish really kills the overall presentation. Meh.

  • James S.

Everyone on vacation wants breakfast. A moron could open a place that serves eggs and breakfast fare and make a killing in a place like Lake George. What separates Lone Bull from the rest; charming, efficient service and pancakes with every order. I did miss the toast...but we had an excellent meal. The corned beef hash and eggs is not to be missed. Love the coffee carafe on the table and that moose container for syrup is genius. We sampled many places in town and although this is a few miles out of town, this is as good as breakfast gets in these parts. Tip: cramped parking lot!! Go slow!!

    (4)
  • Jen B.

This is exactly what we needed after running Ragnar Adirondacks. The portions are huge, the service is fast and friendly and the restaurant is clean. When you order scrambled eggs, consider these eggs to be the size of Emu eggs. The breads and cinnamon roles are made fresh (and it appears in house). Our party of six was sat immediately and the prices were great.

Great food , great service and a very Home like environment . This place is THE BEST breakfast around. I strongly recommend this but beware , get their too late and you'll have a wait. Great amount of parking Great place.

My family and I have been coming to Lake George for 12 years and have had breakfast in many of the restaurants on Canada Street with mixed reviews. This time around we wanted to try something different and away from the main strip. We found out about the Lone Bull Pancake House from a few local people and thought to give it a shot. First impressions, the place is clean and very comfortable. The staff is warm and welcoming. The food was awesome and came out of the kitchen in just minutes. However we never felt rushed. It's obvious the business is a well oiled machine and serves it's customers in a timely fashion without sacrificing quality. Last but not least, out waitress was phenomenal. She was on top of our every need and had a smile the whole time. Yes, we waited about 20 minutes for a table but it was July 4th weekend, totally acceptable wait considering the holiday crowd and we'll worth it. If you're in Lake George on vacation, definitely a place to check out for breakfast. We ordered the following and walked away completely satisfied: Eggs Benedict (3 eggs) Eggs and bacon with side of home fries and corn beef hash Chocolate Chip Pancakes Fruit salad Coffee (delicious) Enjoy your visit, we sure did! :)

  • Angela L.

Make sure when you visit Lake George you stop here for breakfast one morning out of your stay. Comfortable and affordable we left satisfied but not weighed down like most diners. The steak and eggs were top notch. Cooked to perfection. The cinnamon raisin French toast "the French connection" tames your sweet tooth. The best part was that the bread was homemade and you could tell. Although we left feeling dumb because we couldn't figure out the IQ test we wish we had The Lone Bull near home so we could visit more often.

Decided to travel outside of Lake George Village for breakfast. Didn't realize how busy it was going to be and ended up waiting for 20 minutes. The parking lot can be difficult to navigate through. However, once we sat down and we were able to order, the food came out quick and I had a good meal here. Ordered steak and eggs and it was good. Everyone else was pretty happy with their food as well. Our waitress was very good too. I would go 3.5 for a rating, but kept them at three because they had to separate us since we were a group of 12. Tried to give them the heads up, but they wouldn't seat us even though a majority of us were already there. Hope to go back there again and if I have the same food experience, will upgrade the rating.

Had brunch at Lone Bull and had their French Connection Bfast. All I have to say is Cinnamon Raisin French Toast & sausage patties! YUM! Did I mention that the CRFT(Cinnamon raisin french toast) had icing on it? It was as if french toast and a cinnabun had a love child! Yes, please!! Delish! We also shared their chocolate chip pancakes and they were yummy. I am not a pancake fan usually but these were nice. Best thing was it was like stepping back 45 years and entering the awesomeness that is and was this place. The portions are big, the staff nice, and the perfect amount of kitsch without it being overwhelming. PS. THE PRICE!!!! Big bfasts for well under $10 WITH a beverage! WTF! PPS. Does anyone know how or where to buy their lone bull syrup container? I need to get my hands on of them but they don't sell them there. Help!

Came here for breakfast. Greasy potatoes, weird tasting scrambled eggs, worst tasting egg Benedict with a fatty floppy ham. Maybe the pancakes aren't so bad, but after a disappointing breakfast i rather have left-over pizza for breakfast. If you have 15 min to spare, drive down to the Silo.

This place was a great place to have breakfast at. We had to travel 20 minutes from our hotel and had a 20 minute wait time but well worth the time. Hospitable staff and reasonable pricing. Food was good & plenty. The atmosphere was comfortable and family oriented. I would return and would also recommend it.

Seriously the BEST breakfast I've ever had!! I was skeptical as to how a place in the middle of nowhere ONLY serves breakfast and still stay in business. Well, this place is so good that they can sustain their place on just doing business up until 1pm! Amazing. I had the cinnamon raisin french toast combo with sausage links and eggs. Everything was completely homemade, and the eggs were so delicious! Huge portions. Cheap. Fresh. Great service. This place has it all. Plus fresh eggs and sausages from around the area. Definitely a place to stop by for a fulfilling meal!

The last time I was in this area was 20 years ago. We ate at the Lone Bull. I remembered it back then as I remember it right now, a great place to have a great breakfast. Prompt fast friendly service. Nice rustic atmosphere and outstanding homemade food. This time I went with the French connection. Made from homemade cinnamon raisin bread into the lightest Texas style French toast I've every had. Nice pile of crispy hash on the side hit the spot. We were a party of 10 this morning. Two minutes walked right to a set table and were taking hard coffee orders in minutes. Our waiter Mark was spot on. We ordered a large array of food and everyone enjoyed their meals I would change nothing. Hope to make it back before another 20 yrs. Whenever it is this will def be my breakfast stop.

We eat here every time we visit Lake George. The food is very good, although a little high for breakfast. The service is always fantastic, and the atmosphere is great. They leave a full pot of coffee on your table, so you never have to wait for a refill. We will be back the next time we visit Lake George.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday, there was a line to the parking lot. And for good reason. The wait is reasonably quick, took about 10-15minutes for a table for 6. The eggs benedict, corned beef hash, French connection were all tasty and filling. While the coffee is unlimited and they leave a pot for your table, it was disappointing that it tasted bland and watered down. This is a few miles north of the Lake George Village, but definitely worth the trip!

CLOSED Can't really rate a place that isn't open. Stopped there on June 19 for breakfast and found it deserted. The outside looked totally run down. Since they have no website listing hours of operation or times they open there is no way to know if they are ever opening again or not. Whoever the owner is needs to join this century and get a webpage. That and here is where I go for restaurant choices while traveling. I don't just drive around and ask a random person on the street of a place is open or not. Not everyone.wants to vacation in July or August. We don't like the hot weather and the crowds, which was why we were in Lake George now. At least a website would have let us known that they either weren't open for the summer or had closed. We ended up going to Grandma's Back Porch Restaurant down the road and would certainly go back there.

We've been coming to Lake George now for years, and this place has become a non-negotiable for breakfast. Great food when you've got kids and you wake up hungry! They have everything and it's always awesome! Very reasonable prices, and over-the-top wonderful staff! They put these little IQ tests on the table that are fun. They join and amuse the family without electricity. The fruit is always fresh but the butter and cream is also plentiful! Make sure you get there early though. They're only open until 1p. There's a little store with games and stuff for the kids up front which is great to browse while you wait for a table. *In addition, my wife thought she left her pocketbook on the benches up front but didn't notice until after 1. We were frantic that we couldn't even talk to someone until the next day. But the staff was contactable and went out of their way to help us - even calling to check that we'd found it! We did, in a drawer back at our room but I was so impressed by the concern and effort for us. This is a lovely place I hope doesn't change!!! We recommend it to everyone.

The place was a mob scene with people waiting everywhere to be called for a table and cars lined up in the parking lot waiting to find a spot. On this morning this place must have been the most popular breakfast spot in Niagra. With seating capacity of 162 we still waited about a 45 minute on a Sunday at 10:30. After about a 30 minute wait the hostess announced they would not be seating for about 10 minutes to give the kitchen a chance to catch up on the orders they'd already taken! Ive never heard of such a thing but since we were the next table of 4 on list to be seated we decided to stay. You give you name at the registar. The workers seem to be accustom to dealing with the crowds but I heard them giving new arrivals for tables what I thought were low ball estimates of wait times resulting in larger crowd waiting for seats. I guess it's good for business but bad for patrons. Once we were finally seated we were lucky to have excellent service. Our waiter was very friendly and joking helping to lighten the kids mood who were grumpy (and starved) after such a long wait. He even brought some extra chocolate chips out which was very kind. I had the cinnamon rasin bread French toast (pictured) which was excellent. Very tasty, lots of raisins, fresh and light bread. I'd order this again. The plain and chocolate chip pancakes were average. Nothing special. Same for the Belgium waffle. Though kudos for the strawberry syrup. The coffee was also average and a bit weak compared to other diner type coffee I've had. Overall the total experience here was not terrific because of long wait, crowds, difficult parking, and a kitchen that couldn't keep pace with the orders. The service of waiter was outstanding and food was mostly average except for the very good French toast. Place is a 3.5 rating to me. I'd drive by this place again and if I saw crowds I'd keep driving but if not too crowded I'd give it another try.

As a seasoned Lake George goer I was so surprised to find I never knew about this hidden gem. Its a very short drive from the village but people pack into the place ! And for good reason. Immediately noticed the signs they had up for things like oreo pancakes, peanut butter and Jelly Pancakes & m&m pancakes! For those looking for a good hearty breakfast like eggs, bacon and omletes , they've got those too! And boy are they delicious. I was also very fond of the homemade syrups. Staff was super busy but they keep their cool and are friendly . I highly reccommend this place !

Delicous breakfast! I had the eggs Benedict. Kids had pancakes and French toast. Home fries were very good. Crispy the way I like them! Crowded but the staff is fast moving everyone in and out. Highly recommend for a great breakfast stop.

Love this place. The prices are great for the amount of food you get. Anyone that's says this place is overpriced is dead wrong. Service is good and the food tastes great with large portions. The summer weekends get very crowded with limited parking and usually a line during breakfast unless you get here early. The weekdays during the summer are still a crowd but you will be seated quickly.

Always good and on my list of go to places when visiting Lake George in the summer. I stop by with family for breakfast before Sunday mass each year and tradition lives on! The wait staff is very friendly and accommodating. Every few years a brief wait is encountered but it is well worth it. Nice cozy family restaurant. I recommend it! Overall rating in my book is 4.5 stars!

Great find! The omelette was blah. The blueberry pancakes though -- absolutely fluffy and delicious. Great portion too. Loved the maple syrup! My bf was half asleep and poured the container of it into his coffee (you get a huge pot of coffee with just ordering a cup!). Gave the waitress a laugh. Must say it made the coffee delicious...Maple coffee..There's an idea Starbucks. ;)

What is there to say about the Lone Bull? Perpetually busy, always cheap (a huge breakfast for 3 people runs around $25 total), and generous. Sure, the ingredients aren't always the best, and for an upstate New York breakfast spot, not having pure maple syrup easily accessible is a real sin, but otherwise we always enjoy our breakfast here. As you'll notice from the pancakes on most tables, those are probably the standouts here, but otherwise they execute all staple american breakfast foods very nicely indeed.

We'll, I don't really understand all the hype about this place. Maybe it's because it's the only decent place here? We had to wait around 35 minutes instead of the promised 20 to start. My family also noticed that there were a lot of open tables. Odd. When we finally got seated, it took another 10 minutes for our waitress to come. We ordered drinks that came out later and we asked about our sons allergy to nuts and peanuts. Now, you can order the waffle ( wich is what he wanted to get) with pecans and he wanted it without them. She asked and came back saying that, no they could not make them without nuts. What? I know it's privately owned but I don't understand why they can't just take time to make it so he could eat it. Anyway he got the fruit cup with the promise of strawberries and blueberries and some fruit loops. My other son got the m and m pancakes with a side of home fries, I got the breakfast sandwich and my wife got the French toast. It took a pretty long time for our food to come out. The pancakes were not great and and neither were the home fries. The breakfast sandwich was not good, the bread seemed kind of stale and just did not taste good. The only relief was the french toast which still was only decent. Our waitress was nice but still not around a lot and seemed like she was rushing around. Overall, food was not that great and service was ok. Just that if you have food allergies, DO BOT GO HERE. The Ben and Jerry's down the street handles allergies better than this place. If you're reading this during a wait of 45 minutes I recommend you drive down to Bolton beans for better food.

I absolutely loved this place! Came here with my boyfriend around 830-9 on a Saturday, and were seated after about 2 minutes wait time. I ordered the Sausage & Eggs, which came with 2 eggs, sausage, and 3 pancakes. I also got a side of home fries and toast. My boyfriend ordered the Bacon & Eggs. The food came out very quickly and was delicious. The bacon was cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed the homefries. Waitress was nice. We definitely came at the right time because when we left there was a line almost out the door and the parking lot was totally full, so definitely go early!

This is where you want to eat breakfast if you are in the area and driving. It has been around forever, they have a large breakfast menu with a few creative items. They move a ton of people through quickly without rushing them, the food comes quickly, & the staff is very capable. They handle larger groups well. There may be a 10 or 15 minute wait, but it is worth it. Prices are typical lake george, but not too high. You can get a single egg & toast I think for like 4.50.

Decided to stop by for breakfast on a Wednesday morning with my wife, son and father-in-law. Much to my surprise, the place was half empty. I've seen people in the parking lot directing traffic and lines along the building waiting to get in during peak times, so I counted myself lucky. We were seated promptly, but it took a good 10 minutes for a server to come take our order even though they were far less than busy. Wife and her dad got eggs & breakfast meat, short stack of chocolate chip pancakes for my son, and a full stack of banana pancakes for myself. Food was very slow to come out. Once it finally did arrive, egg dishes were ok; scrambled eggs were a bit runny and the over easy eggs were slightly over done. Both sausage and bacon were perfect. My son devoured his chocolate chip pancakes, but serving a breakfast with chocolate in it to a toddler is a bit like shooting fish in a barrel, kind of hard to miss. My pancakes were dense and heavy, lumberjack "just fill you up" style, and not the light and fluffy variety I prefer. Coffee was weak and watery. Once we were finished dining, we had to send another server to find ours in order to bring out the check. Tons of other reviewers have commented on how the service here is normally speedy and attentive, so I'm willing to write off that part of our experience to simply an off day or perhaps not having the "A crew" on staff for a Wednesday. What I can't write off is the quality of the food. While it wasn't horrible, nearly everything on the table was at least somewhat disappointing. Also, I can't understand how a pancake place that's a stone's throw from Vermont can not have real maple syrup available. I understand not having it sitting out on every table for heavy-handed customers to drench their food with or knock over, but to not even have it available? Even for an up-charge? Blasphemy. Their sign on the road states, "We dare you to leave hungry." We certainly were full, but full and satisfied are not synonyms. With the number of other options in the area, we probably won't be back, at least not any time soon.

We visited Lake George over Columbus Day weekend and we had breakfast here our first morning. They have many options for breakfast and our portions were large. any place with a sign saying "we challenge you to go home hungry!" is a win in my book! the special of the day, the Italian omelette, caught my eye - four eggs, peppers, sausage, mozzarella, onions, and marinara sauce. but wait, THERE'S MORE (I hope I am not the only one who misses Billy Mays) - this thing comes with THREE big fluffy pancakes! and all for ten bucks! was it the best breakfast I've had? no, but it was really good.

The breakfast is good but it's pretty pricey. I wanted a veggie omelet and you have to pay .75 per vegetable and if you want cheese. Omelets don't come with home fries so you have to get a side order. Overall the food is average for what you pay.

Had a wonderful brunch here this morning with a party of 9. The host and waitress were very nice and accommodating. Pancakes and waffles are delicious and there fresh sausage links too!

We eat here every time we visit Lake George. The food is very good, although a little high for breakfast. The service is always fantastic, and the atmosphere is great. They leave a full pot of coffee on your table, so you never have to wait for a refill. We will be back the next time we visit Lake George.

ENJOY!

Back again and ordered the French Connection It was delish! eggs, thick french Raisin toast, and fresh juicy sausage. no complaints here! They leave the coffee carafe on the table so you never have to wait for a refill. Service is excellent too.

Meh.

Go slow!!

Best breakfast in the Lake George area! I'm very very particular, and a lot of the restaurants up here are sub-par mainstream American. This place totally changed my attitude towards upstate NY fare. Awesome.

Yummy! If you're in Lake George you must make sure you spend at least one morning here!! Eggs and the rest of the breakfast food was great, but don't expect too much from the steak breakfasts. They run a little small and thin. And, if you like it medium well ask for medium.

It is about a 10 minute drive outside the main town but it is so worth it!

they have a standard breakfast menu w/quite a selection of big proportions. tried the cape code omelete which had real crab meat (shocking!) and asparagus (a little overcooked) in a fluffy egg pancake. toast was tasty. also tried their pancakes which were light and fluffy. def a heaping portion for breakfast but ppl, there's no need to eat everything off your plate!
